Sheep Supplements
Supplements are very popular with show lambs. Before using any supplements, it is very important to remember that each sheep is different and what might be good for one is not necessarily the right thing to use on another. No feed additive can make any old lamb a champion, so you need to start with the basics: good breeding, genetics and a structurally correct lamb with adequate muscle. If you start out with all of the right pieces, the additives will then enhance what the animal already has. A lot of products are meant to sound better than they really are. Sometimes people tend to want to try some supplements in conjunction with other supplements. Keep in mind that while doing this may produce rewarding outcomes, the opposite may happen as well. If you try two new products at the same time and have never used either of them individually and you have great results, how do you know which product produced the results? Was it supplement A, supplement B, or the combination of the two? The only way to surely know is to experiment. Experimenting with show lambs is always risky.
